HOW TO OBTAIN A PATTERN APPROVAL:

When verifications for type approval are requested, the documentation folder submitted by the applicant shall contain the following:

• the application form requesting the beginning of type testing, drawn up according to the provisions of the procedure on handling the requests for technical control of gambling instruments. This application includes the name, the address, phone and fax of the applicant’s company, the type and commercial denomination of the gambling device, the manufacturer, the number of gambling devices of the respective type, as well as the series of the gambling device used as pattern for obtaining the type approval;

• copies of the documentation of the gambling device used as prototype during type testing;

• a gaming plan which shall contain clear and through information regarding the functioning of the type of the pattern;

• how to have the right to gamble (by using coins, chips or other systems);

• using instructions regarding the putting into service, the unfolding and the use of the game controls ;

• the gains plan, which displays all winning and losing situations. This plan includes the description of every game situation, as well as the result assigned at the end of the game;

• the ante for the basic game and its tolerated range;

• the maximum gain at the basic game and the maximum cumulated gain;

• gain cashing in methods;

• the description of cashing in devices;

• the gain percentage declared by the manufacturer on the grounds of a fixed number of games played;

• in case a given device contains several gambling systems, the applicant shall submit a supplementary documentation, proving the fulfillment of the following requirements:

» each gambling system meets the technical conditions mentioned in the manufacturer’s documentation;

» a cross influence among gambling systems is ruled out;

» the gambling device may not automatically switch among gambling systems. Switching from a system to another is manually performed by an operator. The switching method shall be thoroughly described in the technical documentation of the gambling device.

» the thorough description of the game rules and the gain plan for each gambling system;

» several gambling systems are displayed on the gambling device: their number, the various game rules, as well as the current gambling system;

• the blueprint of the gambling device, mentioning the location of the main functional blocks. The applicant shall provide BRML experts a set of 9x12 color photos, including the front view of the gambling device, showing the keyboard and the gains table, an image of the identification plate of the gambling instrument, a general image of the internal structure of the gambling instrument showing C.P.U. protection box, an image of the motherboard with the opened protection box, and a view of the electromagnetic meters.

• the diagram of the gaming device;

• the electric connection diagram;

• configuration capabilities in the game menu or through internal DIP switch buttons of the gaming device;

• the applicant’s statement on own responsibility, certifying the software submitted for approval does not include any other inputs or settings which have not been declared and described in the documentation forwarded for approval;

• dossier’s documents index;

In case of classical roulettes, the dossier shall also include:

• the mechanic blueprint of the roulette, showing the locations of the main components of the mechanic roulette. The applicant shall provide BRML experts with a 9x12 color photos set, including a general view of the roulette table, a separate view of the bowl, showing the axle, a separate view of the bowl showing the ball track and the ball stops, a separate view of the horizontal adjustment devices for the bowl of the whole table, a separate view of the wheel, a view of the radial segments of the structure, a view of the pockets, their numbers and colours, as well as the roulette tower, a view of the identification plate of the roulette table, the roulette layout, the electronic display of the results (in case there are any).

• the technical documentation of the display device , when the roulette table is provided with such a device;

• the technical documentation of the results recording device, in case there is one.

The applicant shall also provide the interface cable, the setting and communication software with the recording device, the hardware keys and the software passwords.
